Always Something New!

I frequently flip through "old" pictures of our ultrasounds, the day the twins were born, and when they first came home..wasn't it just yesterday?! No..it was 10 MONTHS ago!! I am in awe how fast time is flying by. I am absolutely loving this age, their brains are working overtime in discovering new things every day.

Paxtin weighs 22 lbs 9 oz. He is our busy boy!! He crawls all over, "helps" me with laundry, chases me down where ever I go and sometimes de-pants' me cause he climbs my leg when I'm doing dishes, making dinner, or just standing there. He is a major "Momma's Boy"!! Paxtin is learning to walk, he stands by himself for a short period and is now figuring out he can get places on his feet instead of his hands and knees. Paxtin still will get up almost every night for a bottle (sometimes he sleeps all night), but he likes those snacks!! He loves bath time!! He loves puffs, and he loves to stand by the screen door and enjoys looking outside. He has two teeth and constantly chews on his finger!

Channing weighs 23 lbs. He is learning to crawl, he gets up on his hands and knees and rocks back and forth, and sometimes arm crawls a little bit, but he thinks rolling is the way to get where he wants to go. Channing sleeps all night (unless he is sick), he giggles all the time, and he is getting his 5th tooth! He's such a chill baby and can sit and play with the same toy until Paxtin takes it away from him. He loves the walker and walks up and down the halls squealing and giggling the whole time. Channing still is going to physical therapy and hopefully he'll be catching up to where he should be very soon! He also loves bath time and having his mommy pack his chubby little body around the house! Channing however, is the strongest little boy. He has been through so much in his short life, and yet he is still the happiest baby!!

I love seeing their "wheels" turning as they are trying to figure out something new. It's funny as parents the things you get excited over. I remember when they first started reaching for their toys and Dusty and I would yell for each other, "Look, he's grabbing his toys!" then it went to "Oh my gosh he's rolling over"! And it was the same thing with sitting up, crawling, and all the fun things they learn in between!! Also after you become parents you wonder what you used to talk about before you had kids, cause our babies seem to be the topic in any conversation!

As I am preparing for the twins first birthday party, I am sad to think in 2 short months my babies will no longer be in the "months" age, but into the "year" age!! I wouldn't mind if time stood still at this age for a while longer, but unfortunately taking the batteries out of the clock doesn't make time stand still, so we will continue to cherish every new day and new adventure with our boys!!

Dusty is working hard every day to provide for our family! I'm so grateful for the job he has that gives me the opportunity to be a stay at home mom!! He travels a lot for work and in a couple weeks he will be going to New York City and will be gone for a week. I always told him if he ever went to New York, I was going with him, but that was way before children were in mind! I'm grateful for the sacrifices he makes when he travels for our family!! I love you Dusty!

Our family is doing great, if we could stay away from the doctors office we would be doing even better. But we will do what we have to do to keep our babies happy and healthy!

I love being a mom! At times it is challenging and I just want to hide in the closet, but it's so rewarding. I get double the loves, giggles, slobbery kisses, big squishy hugs, and lots of playtime with my boys! I wouldn't trade my "job" for anything!! Paxtin, Channing, and Dusty are my whole world and I love them so much!! Life is great!!
