I haven't written a blog post since we did our 2nd round of IVF. I feel like I haven't documented this baby's pregnancy like I have with my boys, but it's hard to sit down and write a post when your exhausted from chasing 2-2 year olds all day. I also don't have as many doctor visits with this pregnancy.
I thought this pregnancy would be a piece of cake after having twins. However, I was wrong, at least at this point. Baby M loves to live in my abdomen and in my back which causes a great amount of ligament and back pain. When I hit the 2nd trimester with my boys, I felt 100% better. I wasn't sick anymore and I had a lot more energy. With this baby I am still so sick and occasional vomiting, but constant nausea all day and absolutely NO energy. It's been rough. It's also been a difficult pregnancy having depression strike unexpectedly after a horrible, unimaginable family tragedy.
We've had several people ask us why we aren't finding out the gender of our baby. Well we just want to be surprised on birth day! This baby will complete our family so we figured it would add a little excitement in completing our family! Baby M is doing great. His/her heartbeat has always been strong and baby is growing great and on schedule. Paxtin understands that mom has a baby in her belly, and will come up and kiss my belly and say "baby" or "baby a girl". When he sees the ultrasound pictures he says "bro" or "boy". He's giving us mixed signals on what the baby is..haha. Channing doesn't have a care in the world which is just like him. It will probably take him a little while to warm up to the baby when we bring him/her home.
Today, 11/12/15, I am 23 weeks along. I am finally starting to get a belly, but it's like "is she pregnant?" or "did she eat too much at lunchtime?" size of belly. Carrying the baby in my back has caused my belly to not grow as fast. It's really weird cause at this point with my boys I had a full size belly. It's been interesting comparing my pregnancies so far. From this point on I will not have anymore ultrasounds unless complications arise, hopefully they don't. They will continue to check the baby's heart rate with a Doppler to make sure it stays strong! Below are some ultrasound pics we've had the past couple months!
Anyways, that's about all I have for now! As the holidays are approaching we would like to wish all of our followers a happy and safe Thanksgiving! We hope you enjoy your time with your families, because I know that we will!
I'm so excited to see your cute family growing by two feet, instead of four!!! I pray the back pain will get better, and you can be comfortable in your last pregnancy!! I love reading your blog!! Love you guys!! Aunt Patti
