Better Late Than Never!

This post is a little late, but you know what they say, "Better late than never"!

The twins are growing and progressing so much and are becoming so fun. A few things about Paxtin: He loves to roll EVERYWHERE! We can't keep that kid still, and I must say I am not looking forward to the crawling stages. The rolling has been crazy enough..haha! He has "sitting up by himself" almost down! He's still a little wobbly, but he's getting there. He loves to chew on everything; teething has begun and he drools all the time. Anything he gets his chubby hands on he chews on. Although we are still only eating vegetables right now, his favorite so far is sweet potatoes. He loves to stay up past his bedtime, and wake up screaming when he's hungry.

Paxtin rolled to the door!

A few things about Channing: He likes to just lay there and suck his thumb. He's pretty lazy, but he is still going to Physical Therapy and it has been helping him so much in getting the strength he has been lacking due to having a big head. He giggles so much and grins at EVERYTHING. He is a major momma's boy. He doesn't care for toys, he would rather chew on his fingers. He's got where he loves to talk, and he recently discovered his hands and feet. It's so cute to watch him stare at them. Unlike Paxtin, Channing hates sweet potatoes, but he loves carrots. Channing is learning to sit up, and he has made some huge improvements recently in holding his head up better, keep his back straight, and learning to not slouch.

Our boys are so different in so many ways, but it makes life fun and interesting. They love to hold hands, take each others toys, and Channing loves to just watch Paxtin as he rolls all over. They are both my pride and joy and I savor up every second I get with them.

Their first Christmas was pretty laid back. We spent Christmas in Fredonia, and just hung out with family. Being only 5 1/2 months old, Christmas isn't very exciting. But it was exciting for me cause it was my first Christmas as a mommy. We had a great day though!

Our New Year plans changed. We planned to go out of town but the next few paragraphs explains why we stayed home! The boys also turned 6 months old on New Year!
Happy New Year!! 2014!

We did get something for Christmas that we really didn't want to get. After being back home for a few days, the twins started to run mild fevers, we figured it was because they were teething. They were congested again, and so they just weren't themselves. But when Channing's fever spiked to 102.8, we knew it was not just teething. So that evening we took both boys to Instacare, we thought we might as well get Paxtin checked too while we were there. After being examined by the doctor, Paxtin was just fine, just a little congested. But Channing on the other hand had an ear infection. Since he was congested and had some mucous on his lungs, they did a breathing treatment. Then he was on antibiotics for a week.

2 days later, I had Paxtin back at Instacare. He was getting where he could barely breathe and was tugging on his ears. After seeing the doctor, his ears were fine and they did a breathing treatment on him, but the doctor also said he thought Paxtin had Influenza.

To make a long story short, I had to go to Kanab for the week since Dusty was going out of town for business. Well we ended up at the doctors office there with Paxtin again and found out he had an ear infection. He was then placed on antibiotics for a week.

(Paxtin at the doctor before they sucked him out, this is the happiest he had been and it didn't last long.)

Being sick together. :-(

After a week in Fredonia, the boys were happy to be back home and so was I! It's always fun to visit but there is nothing like being in your own home. Dusty made it home safely from his business trip and we are all healthy now and doing well.

But we did get a surprise last Thursday (1/16/14), and that is...
