Picture..Perfect!

We all "love" that day! You know that day when you schedule to get pictures done of your kids and family? I don't know how it is for you but for me...it's very stressful. You want to look your best and you want your family to look theirs and for everyone to smile and be happy. Well it NEVER happens that way...ever!! My hair doesn't want to stay curled, like it usually will. Or you wake up with acne, burn your forehead with a curling iron, or whatever the case may be, it always seems to happen on "picture day"! I have discovered with twins, especially one year old, mobile twins, pictures are pretty much impossible. I woke the boys and fed them for their morning shoot of just the two of them. I made sure they were well-rested and nice and full so they would be happy for pictures. We get to the studio and right away Paxtin decided to "help" out with the backdrops and props. He wanted to be everywhere BUT in front of the camera. My usually happy, giggly, never sad, Channing was grumpy and whiney and wanted nothing to do with pictures either. Fortunately, for my sanity, our amazing photographer was extremely patient with them and did so well at making these pictures adorable and to make a stressful mom, happy!!

That evening we set out for family pictures and the boys of course didn't want to be held in pictures, they wanted to be off playing with pinecones and leaves, climbing stairs, and running across the grass. Me, being a lot more relaxed in our family session just enjoyed the evening as our photographer snapped any picture she could and I tell you what, every moment she shot was PRICELESS!! I absolutely LOVE all of our pictures and I can't believe how many turned out "picture perfect", you wouldn't believe it either if you would have seen how naughty our boys were that day! (If anyone needs an amazing photographer, we highly recommend Heidi at Monkeyface Photography! You won't be sorry, we love Heidi)!

(My mom told me that picture day is karma for me! She said when I was little I was the exact same way. I was terrible on picture day. Now I know why when I look at all of my pictures as a child I was crying or have puffy red eyes from crying cause I was NOT getting my picture taken. Karma is biting me in the butt!)

Even the most stressful and crazy day can turn out to be "Picture Perfect"!
