Paxtin and Channing recently got to go on their first big vacation to California. My parents took my entire immediately family, so there were 8 adults and 8 kids. When planning our trip the first part of the year, we thought September would be a great time to go. The crowds would be smaller and the weather would be cooler, but boy were we wrong. We decided to vacation to California on the hottest days of the year...literally. They were at record breaking temperatures, plus the humidity there that we are not used to just made it more "enjoyable". It really was fun though despite the heat.
We started our vacation by traveling to San Diego on Friday, now what usually would take 7-8 hours (that's including several stops), it took us 12 hours. Right outside of Barstow there was a semi fire and traffic was backed up for endless miles. We went 12 miles in 2 hours. Fortunately we have a TV in our car to entertain our boys as we drove for what felt like 10 feet every 30 minutes. But we finally made it to San Diego. Our boys did extremely well, I was very impressed with how well they traveled. They had bottles, snacks, naps, and of course Mickey Mouse and Bubble Guppies!
On Saturday we went to Sea World. We got to see so many amazing animals with such great talents! The shows were all awesome! The kids had a great time!
I loved SeaWorld! The Orca show was amazing, that was my first time there. We sat in the "soak zone" during the Orca show and Paxtin was giggling and waving and laughing, until that Orca came by and sent water flying our way and he was not happy anymore. Lol..it was a nice cool down though!
That evening we went and walked around the San Diego Temple. It was so gorgeous!

Sunday we went to San Diego Zoo. We got to see a lot of animals and as always when you go to the zoo, the animals are hiding out and sleeping.

After the zoo, we headed to Anaheim to get ready to go to Disneyland on Monday and Tuesday!
Monday and Tuesday we were very excited to go to Disneyland. We were all in our Mickey Mouse or Frozen shirts and ready for a day of fun!

After 2 days at Disneyland we were all exhausted and ready for some relaxation. The next day, Wednesday, we headed for home!! We had a great time on our vacation. It came and went way too fast! See you in 10 years California..haha!!
HUNTS..
Dusty drew a muzzleloader tag this year and his hunt started on September 24th. We went out that weekend looking for some bucks. The weather was very rainy, and I mean VERY rainy, wet, muddy, slick, and when that happens the deer like to bed down and get out of the rain. Which makes hunting more difficult, especially with the twins. But a small break came, and the rain stopped for a short time on Saturday evening, and we finally saw a deer with horns. We had seen over 200 head of deer and 99% of them were does. But Dusty was able to get a shot and killed a little 2x2! Now we have meat for our freezer and a little 2x2 mount for our boys' nursery wall! (The mount is not done yet, we are still working on it. Otherwise, I would've taken a pic)

I love successful hunts when you fill your tag!! I have a rifle tag in 2 weeks, so hopefully I get to fill it too!!
AND TURNING 15 MONTHS-
Today, October 1st, the twins turned 15 months old. IDK where the time is going but it can slow down anytime. I am absolutely LOVING this age!! The boys are so fun and playful! I know it hasn't been too long since I updated you on the boys, but they have started doing a few new things so I will share those!
Paxtin- Knows where his belly is and will tap it with both hands. He also has figured out that he can walk around the house and drink his bottle instead of laying down to drink it. He dances and it's so cute, he has a few different dance moves he does. He's learning to climb, not my favorite thing in the world and I think he'll have it down very soon.
Channing- Is WALKING!!! He will walk from me to the couch, and the couch to me, but he is doing it all by HIMSELF!! We are so proud of him. We have been working with him so much and he finally picked it up a few days ago. I am thrilled!! He also has started "clicking" his tongue. He thinks it's pretty neat that he can do that! Chan Man also is learning to dance..my boys LOVE music! It's so fun to see their reaction when music is turned on!!
