A Mackelprang Story: Twins 2nd Christmas

'Twas the night before Christmas,

With music as our sound

The four of us awake

And dancing around.

Pandora was on,

to help keep our beat

All of us dancing

while shuffling our feet.

The holiday spirit

Was filled in the air

Our little family together

Was all we needed there.

The night was getting later

It was getting quiet in the house

The boys were in their new jammies

That had Mickey Mouse.

The twins were all snuggled

In their cribs for the night

And Mommy and Daddy

turned out the lights.

We woke in the morning

With presents galore

But the best thing about Christmas

Can't be bought at a store.

We celebrate Christmas

It's a wonderful season

But we need to remember

That Christ is the reason.

This Christmas was special

My favorite one yet

It's definitely a Christmas

We'll never forget.

Paxtin and Channing had a great 2nd Christmas! They got very spoiled and even after I've cleaned out their old toys to make room for their new ones, the toy room is still packed. They should be set for the next 10 years on toys..haha!

We spent Christmas Eve and Christmas morning at our house. After opening our gifts, having a nice breakfast, and getting packed and ready to leave, we headed to Fredonia to spend time with our families.

Christmas is such a wonderful time of year. I love the cold weather, the trees, the lights, the music...everything about Christmas is so special and makes me so happy. I just hate how fast it comes and goes, it makes it hard to enjoy because before you know it, it's time to take down all the decorations and put everything away for next year.

My boys have had a great time with our Christmas tree this year. We may have to throw a lot of ornaments away, but they are replaceable. The memories they made while undecorating and redecorating the tree are not. I'm so glad they had such a fun time with it. They also loved all the singing toys we have, they have been played over and over and over and over again! (I'm quite excited for those to be put away for a year..lol).

As the holiday season comes to an end, I hope everyone can remember the true meaning of Christmas! I hope we can remember the reason we celebrate Christmas is to celebrate the birth of our Savior! He is the reason for the season, not just in December, but all year long we should celebrate His life! I hope everyone had a safe and wonderful holiday. Merry Christmas Always!!
