Double Trouble

A year and a half..78 weeks..547 days..however you want to say it MY BABIES ARE 18 MONTHS OLD!

The twins had their 18 month check-up today at the doctor. He was amazed at how big they are and how well they are doing. Here is an update on them and the new things they are up to!

PAXTIN-
Weight- 29.6 lbs (95th percentile)
Height- 34" long (91st percentile)

Paxtin loves to make goofy faces and is very dramatic. He loves to do "patty-cake", and "If you're happy and you know it clap your hands" he does the actions to both so well. He will start to dance to any music, even the hymns at church, when he hears music he starts to dance. Paxtin loves bananas, waffles, rice rusks, crackers, and French fries...just about anything you can eat..just like his daddy. He likes to climb on the end tables, the couch, the rocking chair, and in the toy box. He thinks anything and everything is a phone. From a real phone to a play fork, he uses it as a phone and holds it up to his ear and begins jabbering. He loves to take his dirty clothes and put them in the laundry basket too. We are still learning the difference between throwing something in the laundry and throwing something in the trash. Haha..

Paxtin loves his brother. If he wakes before Channing, then we say "go get brother" and he will go into their room, reach through the crib, and sit and pat Channing. He will take Channing his blankie and even put his bottle in his mouth. If Channing is crying, Pax will walk over and pat him on the back or rub his forehead. But he also loves to use him as a stepping stool, pull him off the chair, and push/hit him if he gets mad at him. Pax says "Mom", "Dad", "bubble", "bye", and "cheese". Paxtin also loves Bella. He will share his food with her, sit and pet her, and if our bedroom door is open and she is in there, he will go sit with her in her bed.

CHANNING-
Weight- 30.2 lbs (97th percentile)
Height- 34" long (91st percentile)

Channing loves to play "peek-a-boo", do the "hokey-pokey", get chased around the house, and loves to wrestle. Channing LOVES the trash can. He is constantly opening the lid and pulling trash out. Even after getting punished, he goes back and does it again and again. Chan Man loves trucks, he pushes them around and makes the "bbbbbbbb" sound with his lips. He will even flip them over and spin the tires over and over. He loves books, especially ones with buttons to push and make noises. He absolutely loves Bubble Guppies and Mickey Mouse! If he is out of the room and he hears them come on the TV, he will run into the room squealing with excitement. He loves to run his fingers through my hair and sometimes pull a handful out. Channing loves yogurt, peaches, waffles, and pasta. He is more of a picky eater like his mommy. Although he is a biter, Channing has a smile that can turn a bad day into a great day. His smile and dimples are contagious and will melt your heart.

 

Channy Man loves to come up behind me when I am changing Paxtin's diaper and climb on my back or pull the clips out of my hair. He really loves it when I turn side to side when he's there and play peek-a-boo with him. He is a smarty pants, he doesn't talk a lot, but he concentrates very hard on things like he's trying to figure out how they work. He says "mmmmmom", "dad", and will do "more" in sign language. He loves to climb in The Knotty Seat and just sit there and sometimes stand. He also loves to bounce. If you are holding him he will start to bounce and want you to bounce him more! Channing is very dependent on a bottle, he could care less for a sippy cup or he'll just use it to chew on. Weaning him is not going to be easy and I have already started the process of it but it's going to take A LOT of time and patience for him. Hopefully by age 2, they will both be bottle free!

TOGETHER-

Pax and Chan both love their blankies. They drag them all over the house and of course they have to have them to sleep at night. They both have blonde, curly hair as you can see in all the pics. They get compliments on their curly hair all of the time. They are best friends and are always making each other laugh. Dusty and I love to watch them interact with each other. They have a special bond and always will. "Born together and friends FOREVER!"

They though it was awesome that I got inside of the crib and played with them.
